Blog Post #7 Half-Way Reflection

I think things are going well in this class so far. We've made it half way and have gotten a lot of assignments completed. I have learned some great sites that teachers can use in their classroom, very kid appropriate. I think it is great that children are using technology so young. Technology really is the future and they will have a leg up if they figure out how to work for them.

Blog Post #6 Internet Use in Early Childhood Classrooms

I think there are pros and cons to using the Internet in the early childhood classroom. Children can have an endless supply of knowledge about any topic if they use the Internet. They can also learn how to find credible sites at an earlier age. A con would be if they started to believe that everything they found on the Internet is true. They should also be careful to stay away from inappropriate Internet sites. I know schools block sites that they feel are bad, but if the students are using the Internet at home they might run into some things they should not see.
